Types Of Vegetation
The national Flower of Australia is the wattle, the state flower for NSW is the New South Wales waratah. There are over 350,000 types of fauna in Australia with over 250,000 of them being fungus. The main types of vegetation are:

Typical Species
Eucalyptus: Eucalyptus tree which is found in over 700 varieties throughout Australia, only 7 sub-species of eucalyptus trees are not found in Australia.
Jacaranda: The Jacaranda is not native to Australia but thrives in Australia and is very popular, it is easily recognisable by it’s purple flowers which make the trees appear all purple as they have no leaves when they’re flowering.
Waratah: Waratah, this is the floral emblem for New South Wales which grows as a shrub which has a huge tower that looks like a budding stem that grows in a single column normally a few metres high and is topped off with a complex red flower.
Kangaroo Paw: Kangaroo paw is a native flower that has a small grassy base and a green stalk, the flower on top varies but generally looks like a plant material version of a kangaroo paw and produces a weak floral scent.

Endangered Species
The Phillip island hibiscus (off Norfolk island not Melbourne) is considered critically endangered, only 2 small clumps of these flowers exist with each one being made of multiple stems. Authorities have tried to repopulate phillip island but doing so does not increase genetic diversity just spreads the clumps around.
