Australian Climate
Climate is the study of weather over a period of time. Weather is short term study of wind, temperature, humidity, sun and surf. The map highlights the main climate zones in Australia. To the north and around the eastern coast of Australia, you will find the more tropical zones of Australia. The very top of Australia is the most tropical part of the county. this is because it is closest to the equator. As you venture further down, you can see that Australia starts at tropical, and ends in desert. However, along the east coast there is semi-arid and temperate climate. Much of the middle of Australia is mostly arid desert.
The map below shows similar climate zones. It shows in more detail all of the zones of Australia.
